For Presenters


Regular oral presentations are 15 minutes long (including speaker change-over, talk introduction by symposium chair, and 3 minutes for questions). Symposium Chairs will keep strictly to time; presentations running over time will be cut short.

All rooms have PC computers and up-to-date Microscoft Office, and data projectors. Presentations must use PowerPoint (ppt, pptx) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files. There will be no facility to allow individual speakers to hook-up their own laptops, including Apple Macintosh users. Speakers are responsible for ensuring that their presentations display correctly, including any movies or embedded files. Seminar room 303-G14 will be available throughout the conference for testing presentations.

Morning presenters, please bring your talk on a memory stick to your presentation room 15 minutes before the start of the session. Afternoon presenters can upload their talks either in the morning or 15 minutes prior to the end of lunch at their session room. Student Helpers will be available for uploading of presentations.


Dedicated poster sessions are scheduled for the afternoons of Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th. Posters must be removed before 6 pm on the day of presentation. Posters should be in portrait layout no larger than A0 size (1190 mm x 840 mm) or A1 size (landscape or portrait) and velcro dots will be available at the registration desk.
